Inspection & Preventive Maintenance

(IMP)

Complete technical inspection combined with preventive in-situ intervention, aimed at preserving blade structural integrity.

Our IMP service combines complete technical inspection with preventive in-situ interventions, aimed at preserving blade structural integrity and preventing minor damage from progressing into major failures.

Unlike a conventional inspection, the IMP does not limit itself to documenting blade condition. We immediately act on surface defects to stabilize them and reduce the risk of propagation.

Technical detail

Scope of Service

External and internal blade inspection

  • Complete structural visual evaluation
  • Damage identification and classification (erosion, cracks, spalling, impact, delamination)
  • Measurement by radius and position
  • Technical photographic record

Lightning protection system

  • Conductivity measurement at receptors
  • Electrical continuity verification
  • Alutip and tower inspection

Drainage system

  • Orifice check and water evacuation
  • Obstruction detection

Structured documentation

  • Detailed technical report
  • Severity classification
  • Technical recommendations
  • Traceability per blade and radius
Included in the service

Preventive Intervention Included

During inspection, surface damage is immediately stabilized through:

Controlled sanding of spalling and superficial cracks

Sealing and protective repainting

Temporary protection on eroded leading edge areas

This procedure reduces moisture ingress, minimizes crack propagation, and extends service life until the next corrective campaign.

When more is needed

Management of Major Damage

When defects requiring intermediate or structural intervention are detected, the client is informed with a specific technical proposal.

Examples of complementary work

  • Application of LEP systems (e.g. Bergolin) on leading edge
  • Vortex generator replacement
  • Serration replacement
  • Localized composite repairs
Objective

Service Objective

Reduce damage growth, optimize maintenance budget, and maintain turbine availability without the need for urgent corrective campaigns.
